Environmental projects to increase production and income

Conservation of environment and protection of natural resources are an essential element in effectuate sustainable development. Therefore, the Higher Council for Environment and Natural Resources (HCNER) pays great attention and strives to preserve te and conserve them. HCNER  has a long tradition  in attracting support and external fund for the purposes of implementing international commitments and supporting national development programs through the implementation of different  environmental and development projects that cover all states of Sudan in partnership with sectors and relevant authorities at the federal and state levels and fruitful cooperation with the United Nations Development Program.Concerning this , Al Salam Rotana Hotel hosted today the meetings of the boards of directors of the project Building Resilience in the face of Climate Change within Traditional Rain fed Agricultural and Pastoral Systems, which is being implemented in nine States of Sudan; the project Strengthened Protected Areas System and Integrated Ecosystem Management in Sudan , which targeted the Jabal Al-Daer reserve in North Kordofan and Dinder and Dunqab marine reserve, and the project to Strengthen National Capacities to Implement Global Environmental Commitments. During the meetings, the achievements of the projects achieved during the year 2021 and the work plans for the year 2022 were reviewed
