Japan provides Sudan (16) million dollars for treating waste
The Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), with its headquarters in Khartoum, signed the Sudanese Clean Cities Project Grant Agreement, presented by the Japanese government, with a value of 16 million US dollars, which are mechanisms for transporting and treating solid waste in the country.
The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Environment in Sudan, Rashid Makki Hassan, said that the project targets the states of Khartoum, the Red Sea and North Kordofan, and comes on the heels of the first technical support allocated to the state of Khartoum, indicating that the project would contribute to the improvement of cleaning services and environmental protection through the collection process Waste treatment, and raising the capabilities of institutions working in this field.
