Rural Livelihoods Project to Climate Change
The Highet Council for Environment and Natural Resources started the practical steps to implement the livelihoods project by appointing states coordinators in September 2020. The project targets agricultural pastoral communities of men and women and works to strengthen their capacities to adapt to climate change, adapt livelihoods to harsh climatic conditions, implement innovative technologies and adopt initiatives to protect and conserve natural resources in a sustainable manner and income-generating activities,The project areas of implementation are in Al-Baja area, Al-Duwaim locality, White Nile state, Al-Qadambaliya locality, Gedaref state, and Aroma locality in Kassala state.
